Given the complexity of Yugoslavia's recent history, you would be forgiven for feeling that a concise version was impossible, but Benson's excellent book, which includes events as recent as Milosevic's arrest in mid, clears away some of the old historiographical cobwebs and provides an excellent introduction to the country's past.

Misha Glenny's "The Fall of Yugoslavia" is certainly a good book on the Fall of Yugoslavia, but I could not say it is the best book I have read. I still prefer Silber and Little's "Yugoslavia: Death of a Nation." The latter book is I think more concise, thorough and better organized/5(73).
